World Around Us

Children are naturally curious and often ask profound questions about themselves and the nature of the world around them. The purpose of this area of learning is to find age appropriate answers to some of these big questions from the perspectives of geography, history and science and technology.

Cairncastle Primary aims to provide a range of experiences for each pupil through the World Around Us curriculum while also expanding the classroom environment into our surrounding grounds and local area.

In the second term, we ran an Outdoor Science fortnight which included many activities within our school grounds and down at the beach.  All the pupils also helped plant over 100 trees in our school grounds!
